  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 green onion, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the sugar in a pan over medium heat until it melts and turns golden brown.
  2. Add the water and fish sauce to the caramel, stirring until combined.
  3. In another pan, heat the oil and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce over the shrimp and mix well.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with green onions before serving.
