Description
Ube Halaya is a sweet and creamy jam made from purple yam.
Ingredients

- 2 cups ube (purple yam), grated
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
Instructions
- Boil the ube in water until tender. Drain and let cool.
- Peel and grate the boiled ube.
- In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the grated ube, coconut milk, condensed milk, and sugar. Stir well.
- Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly until thick.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Transfer to a jar and refrigerate.
Notes
- Use fresh ube for the best flavor.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
- Can be used as a filling for desserts or spread on bread.
