- 500g beef shank
- 200g wheat noodles
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine
- 1 tablespoon chili bean paste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, heat oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add beef shank and brown on all sides.
- Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, rice wine, and chili bean paste.
- Simmer for 1.5 hours or until beef is tender.
- Cook noodles according to package instructions.
- Serve noodles in a bowl, ladle the beef broth over, and top with green onions and cilantro.
Notes
- You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili bean paste.
- Use homemade or store-bought beef broth for convenience.
