Ingredients

  • 200g wheat noodles
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon chili bean paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pot, heat oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  2. Add beef shank and brown on all sides.
  3. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, rice wine, and chili bean paste.
  4. Simmer for 1.5 hours or until beef is tender.
  5. Cook noodles according to package instructions.
  6. Serve noodles in a bowl, ladle the beef broth over, and top with green onions and cilantro.
