Description

Rice Paper Tteokbokki is a unique twist on the traditional Korean dish, featuring chewy rice cakes rolled in rice paper.


Ingredients

  • 200g rice cakes
  • 5 rice papers
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice papers in warm water until soft.
  2. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the rice cakes and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  5. Add the sauce to the pan and stir to coat the rice cakes.
  6. Place a rice cake on a softened rice paper and roll it up.
  7. Repeat with remaining rice cakes.
  8. Serve with chopped green onions on top.
