Description
Palestinian Musakhan is a traditional dish featuring sumac chicken served on taboon bread.
Ingredients

- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons sumac
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 pieces of taboon bread
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, sumac, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken thighs with the mixture.
- Place the chicken on a baking tray and add sliced onions around it.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Warm the taboon bread in the oven for a few minutes.
- Serve the chicken on the bread and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Adjust sumac to taste for desired tartness.
- Use whole chicken for a more authentic flavor.
