Description

Omurice is a popular Japanese dish combining fried rice and omelette.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup chicken, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper, sauté until soft.
  3. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Add rice and ketchup, stir well.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  7. In another pan, pour the egg mixture and cook until slightly set.
  8. Place the fried rice in the center of the omelette.
  9. Fold the omelette over the rice and serve.
