Description
Omurice is a popular Japanese dish combining fried rice and omelette.
Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup chicken, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and bell pepper, sauté until soft.
- Add chicken and cook until no longer pink.
- Add rice and ketchup, stir well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
- In another pan, pour the egg mixture and cook until slightly set.
- Place the fried rice in the center of the omelette.
- Fold the omelette over the rice and serve.
Notes
- Use leftover rice for better texture.
- Experiment with different proteins or vegetables.
- Top with extra ketchup if desired.
