Description

Moroccan Trid is a traditional dish made with shredded pastry, lentils, and chicken.


Ingredients

  • 400g chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 200g lentils, boiled
  • 4 sheets of Moroccan pastry
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.
  2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in shredded chicken, lentils, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Prepare the Moroccan pastry by cutting them into quarters.
  6. Layer the pastry in a greased dish, adding the chicken and lentil mixture.
  7. Top with remaining pastry and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure lentils are well cooked.
  • You can substitute chicken with beef or vegetables for a different flavor.
