Description
Moroccan Trid is a traditional dish made with shredded pastry, lentils, and chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400g chicken, cooked and shredded
- 200g lentils, boiled
- 4 sheets of Moroccan pastry
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Stir in shredded chicken, lentils, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare the Moroccan pastry by cutting them into quarters.
- Layer the pastry in a greased dish, adding the chicken and lentil mixture.
- Top with remaining pastry and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
- Ensure lentils are well cooked.
- You can substitute chicken with beef or vegetables for a different flavor.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
