Description
Lamb Tangia is a traditional Moroccan dish cooked slowly to enhance flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 kg lamb shoulder
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp saffron threads
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 500 ml water
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a large pot, combine lamb, onion, garlic, spices, lemon juice, water, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the pot and place it in the oven.
- Cook for 4 to 5 hours until the lamb is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

- Serve with bread or couscous.
