Description

Kofte are traditional Turkish meatballs made with ground meat and spices, served with rice.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water or broth

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  4. In a separate pot, bring water or broth to a boil.
  5. Add rice, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook until rice is tender, about 15 minutes.
  6. Serve meatballs over rice.
