Description

Japchae is a savory and slightly sweet dish made with sweet potato glass noodles and beef.


Ingredients

  • 200g sweet potato glass noodles
  • 200g beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup spinach, blanched
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak the sweet potato noodles in warm water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat sesame oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add onion, carrot, and bell pepper. Sauté until tender.
  5. Add the soaked noodles and mix well.
  6. Stir in soy sauce and sugar. Cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add blanched spinach and toss to combine.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust the soy sauce to taste.
  • You can add other vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini.
