Description
Inarizushi is a type of sushi made with seasoned rice stuffed in sweet, fried tofu pockets.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 10 pieces inari (fried tofu pockets)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a small saucepan, heat rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
- Once rice is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and mix in the vinegar mixture.
- Allow the rice to cool to room temperature.
- Carefully open the inari pockets and fill each with seasoned rice.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness of the rice by altering the sugar amount.
- Inarizushi can be served chilled or at room temperature.
