Description
Halal Mutton Karahi is a traditional Pakistani dish made with tender mutton cooked in a rich and spicy tomato-based sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a karahi or deep pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add mutton pieces and cook until browned.
- Add tomatoes, green chilies, and spices. Mix well.
- Add water to cover the mutton and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until mutton is tender.
- Once cooked, sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
- Adjust spice levels to your preference.
- Marinating mutton for a few hours enhances flavor.
