Description
A classic green bean casserole made with fresh green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crispy fried onions.

- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 cups mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
- In a large bowl, mix the mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top with crispy fried onions.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade mushroom soup.
- You can substitute frozen green beans if fresh ones are unavailable.
- Adjust the amount of soy sauce based on your taste preference.
