Description

Black Mushroom Rice made with dried mushrooms.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of rice
  • 1 cup of dried black mushrooms
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried black mushrooms in warm water for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and chop the mushrooms.
  3. In a pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  4. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until soft.
  5. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add rice and stir for 2 minutes.
  7. Pour in 4 cups of water and add salt.
  8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
  9. Cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
  10. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Notes

  • Use any type of rice you prefer.
  • Adjust salt according to your taste.
  • Serve with your choice of protein.
