Description
Delicious churros served with a spicy chocolate dip.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Add flour and stir until a dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll churros in this mixture.
- In a separate saucepan, heat heavy cream and chocolate chips until melted.
- Add cayenne pepper to the chocolate and stir.
- Serve churros warm with spicy chocolate dip.
Notes
- Store leftover churros in an airtight container.
- Adjust the amount of cayenne to taste.
